A tomato story

One evening, coming home from work, I found 2 tomatoes with candles on my doorstep.

Someone had thought of me on my birthday…

Subtle…

A friend wanted to wish me a happy birthday, but she was leaving on vacation that very day and couldn’t be there. While I was at work, she came by and left 2 tomatoes with candles, a letter and some confetti on the door frame.

… and touching

I love tomatoes, her birthday note was really sweet, and getting a shower of confetti on my head as I opened the door made me laugh. But what touched me most was that she had taken the time to come to my place, wait for someone to let her in, place the confetti one by one above my door and write me a note.

My turn!

As fate would have it, a month later we found ourselves in the opposite situation: me on vacation and her far away on her birthday. I really wanted to mark the occasion in return, but how could I live up to her surprise?

A nice card? A text? A phone call? Not very original…

So I thought about what she loved and what I knew how to do, and the idea came to me: design a web page just for the occasion. What’s the point, you may ask? It let her guess a series of little gifts hidden behind funny, personalized riddles.

Without knowing it, I had just sent my first Escape-Gift!

Spiral notebook page: “She loves” games, humor, surprises; “I can make” a card, riddles, websites; a question mark between the two columns and two overlapping circles

Bull’s-eye!

My little surprise was a success beyond my wildest dreams, and I later realized that it contained many of the ingredients that gave my friend positive emotions: surprise, suspense, laughter and, in the end, emotion, because the originality and the personal touch showed how much I cared.

Your turn ;-)

My ambition in creating Escape-Gift is to give you the chance to live the same experience as I did: share emotions and laughter, mark the occasion, create lasting memories. Our role is to let you do it simply, without needing a degree in computer engineering or web design. We hope to see you among our members soon. Have fun!
